Strengthening education and practical vocational training

Operation HOPE-Vista provides a safe environment for homeless families with children and single women to help support rebuilding lives and regaining hope. The shelter offers a clean, warm, and welcoming setting; including individual family sleep rooms, a dorm room for single women, common areas, courtyard, and secure play for children. The individual family sleep rooms encourage a stable family dynamic, enhancing the ability to recover self-sufficiency.

The shelter accommodates forty-five adults and children – the number of children generally outnumber the adults. In addition to sleep areas, there are common dining and lounge facilities, computer banks, courtyard, playground, as well as laundry and shower facilities. All clients, as part of the program, work onsite with case managers to provide foundation and guidance for the work needed to end their homelessness. The goal for every client is to leave our facility with a housing plan intact, as well as the tools needed to gain and maintain self-sufficiency.
